  • Child or Teen Art Therapy Group

Children naturally speak the universal language of art, often learning to communicate with images before words. We provide an Art Therapy group for children, tweens, and adolescents giving them a safe space to express their thoughts and feelings. Whether we are using clay, paint, or found objects activities, I work with the kids to achieve connectedness in the group atmosphere. A good group provides an opportunity for increased openness, self-expression, awareness, and confidence. Members intrinsically gain support from one another, and most importantly, increased acceptance of self and other. Call us today to determine if your child could benefit from Art Therapy with us!

  • Past Community Event & Education: Art Therapy & Sustainable Fashion + local art

    Community Awareness Event:

    Saturday, February 11, 2016 2 p.m.- 5:15 p.m.

Every New Year invites opportunity to set goals... shed the old and build the new. WIth colder temps and shorter days, it's the time of year to slow down, evaluate the past year, examine patterns, and whether mental, emotional, spiritual, or physical...let go of that which no longer serves you best. It’s time to decide what you want to keep, what you want to discard, and what you want to re-purpose and recycle.

There are beautiful, wonderful, unique, original, and purposeful parts of you that you may have not been "wearing & pairing" in the most effective and flattering ways. Let’s explore those parts! Integrative Art Therapy and personal stylist, Loren North, will be teaming up to share with you ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle your wardrobe along with other aspects of your inner life. Let’s get curious and explore the metaphor, your closet, your creativity, and more while helping you let go of those pieces that no longer ‘fit!'

Please bring no less than 10 items and no more than 15 of your high quality, gently used clean clothes, shoes, jewelry and/or handbags. This will help you reduce your wardrobe while spreading the love! Be sure at least 1 of your items is a pair of shoes and another a piece of jewelry. All items must be delivered before 2:30...please arrive by 2 to get your donations checked-in.

You will have time to enjoy an art invitation and experience the creative process first hand plus local art on exhibit while our team gets your donations organized for the exciting exchange with tips and tools to flatter your body and compliment your style. The clothing swap will not only allow you to repurpose your clothing and integrate others into your own wardrobe but also connect with other earth-conscious community members ready to learn how they can boost their creativity, style, and confidence while looking out for the environment.

Space is limited to only 15...first come first serve!

  • Past: Befriending the Body Workshop

Do you struggle to feel at home in your body? Do you suffer from chronic pain, disordered eating, or poor body image?

Our relationships to our bodies are complex. We may hate certain body parts, be afflicted by chronic pain and illness, hold the tension of past trauma, or all of the above. Sometimes, we make our body the enemy. Learning to love the body is learning to love the self. Join Health Psychology Coach and newest member of our team, Becka Kelley, for this three hour expressive arts movement class. You will have the opportunity to explore the complexity of your body and begin or deepen a friendship with your unique and dynamic system in a supportive and creative space.

No experience of any kind is required. Please wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing.

This workshop is scheduled for Saturday, February 25th from 10-1pm.
